Merger Announcement

We have the great pleasure of announcing that Pieciak & Company P.C. and Downey, Sweeney, Fitzgerald & Co., P.C. merged on July 1, 2018 and will operate as Downey, Pieciak, Fitzgerald & Co., P.C.  The merged firm will be a true combination of equals - a joining of two firms with strengths that are highly complementary.  The merger will enable us to provide a broader set of services to you.

Downey, Sweeney, Fitzgerald & Co., P.C., in Springfield, Massachusetts, traces its origins to 1950.  Pieciak & Company, P.C., in Brattleboro, Vermont and South Hadley, Massachusetts, was incorporated in 1983 as a successor to an accounting practice dating back to 1957.

Both firms have offered auditing and accounting, tax planning and preparation, litigation support, advisory services and bookkeeping to closely held businesses, not-for-profit organizations, trusts, estates and individuals.  The combined firm will continue to offer payroll preparation services.

We are both proud of our long-standing history, quality of work, and of our team of professionals.  You can expect the same focus and quality service from the combined firm.
